Blackheads | blackheads home treatment

They have a reputation for being a major acne symptom. They are also recognized as dark spots. We wish they were subtle but sadly that is not true. It makes no sense to guess what we are talking about - blackheads! The same old tired spots tend to accumulate around your nose, back, neck, chest, and arms. The same spots you scrub for hours in the shower but they just don't budge. But, have you really paid attention to the question, what are blackheads?  In simple words, these tiny bumps are actually made of oxidized melanin and are formed when a hair follicle fills up with sebum or dirt.  In case you're wondering what sebum is, it's the lightweight, oily substance that moisturizes your skin. The technical term for blackheads is comedo, which is derived from the Latin for gluttony.
