Shalabhasan ( locust pose ):-

Shalabh refers to a kit and also to Shalabh Locust.  In this posture, the shape of the body becomes something like this, that is why it is called Shalabhasana. It is a reclining posture. While doing Shalabhasana yoga, the shape of the body is like a Locust insect, it is called Locust Pose. Strengthens waist and back and improves digestion.  The procedure and benefits of performing Shalabhasana are given below:

 Method of Shalabhasan :-

This asana is also counted in the postures lying on the stomach.  Lie on your stomach and first rest your chin on the ground.  Then press both hands under the legs.  Then, inhale, raise both legs in parallel in order, adjoining each other.  To raise the legs further, press the thighs with the palms of the hands.

To come back slowly brought the legs to the ground. Then, laying the hands out from under the legs, lie down in the position of Makarasan.

 PreCaution of Shalabhasan:-

The knee should not bend the leg.  The chin rested on the ground.  Stay in this position for 10 to 30 seconds.  Those who have a serious problem in the spinal cord, legs or legs, do this asana only after consulting a yoga doctor. Do not stress the body while doing this asana. Do not bend the knees or raise the chin off the floor. This asana is not suitable for people with high blood pressure or weak heart. People suffering from this condition should refrain from practicing Shalabhasana: tuberculosis of the stomach, hernia, stomach ulcers, or any other similar condition.

Removes all diseases occurring in the lower part of the spinal cord.  Special benefits for back pain and sciatica pain. Strengthens the lower back and tones the organs of the pelvic region, allowing the stomach, liver, and bowel to function well.  It is beneficial for people suffering from back pain, slipped discs, and sciatica, but only if the condition is not serious. Enhances the functioning of the abdominal organs, especially in the lower abdomen. By practicing this asana, the muscles of the buttocks are strengthened and the appetite increases.
